Even in the face of ongoing challenges presented by the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, pupils have consistently excelled in their academic performance. St Andrews CofE Primary School, Marks Tey, to join Canonium Learning Trust in the Autumn Term

We are delighted to share news that St. Andrews Primary School, Marks Tey, is set to become a part of the Canonium Learning Trust in the upcoming Autumn Term of this year. This development marks a significant milestone for both the school and our trust-wide community. With the addition of St. Andrews, our trust will encompass a total of five schools, which extends our capacity to exchange knowledge and expertise among our teachers, leaders and support staff, further enhancing our ability to provide exceptional education to all our pupils. The new partnership will foster increased collaboration, opportunities for professional development, and valuable connections with a broader network of dedicated educators. St Andrews received its Academy Order earlier this year, having gained full support and approval from the Department for Education (DfE), the Diocese of Chelmsford and the Local Authority to join the Canonium family of Schools.

Stisted Primary Academy rated Outstanding by Ofsted

Stisted Primary Academy, which is part of Canonium Learning Trust, has achieved another outstanding rating in all areas during its recent Ofsted inspection. The small village school near Braintree, which has 104 pupils aged 4-11, has maintained its outstanding status for 15 years.  Head of school Dannielle Welsman with dog Basil and executive headteacher Martin Hawrylak Ofsted inspectors praised the school for providing an “exceptional education”, its support for children with special educational needs, and the school’s warm and caring environment. Inspectors also noted the opportunities the school provides for children to flourish and become confident, active citizens. Teachers were also singled out for delivering interesting lessons that made children think hard.
